BenQ AK700ST Golf Simulator Projector

BenQ AK700ST Golf Simulator Projector – 4K UHD 4,000-Lumen Laser Short-Throw Projector

Create a more immersive golf simulation experience with the BenQ AK700ST Golf Simulator Projector, a purpose-built 4K UHD laser projector designed for golf simulator applications. Combining high brightness, short-throw projection, detailed image quality, and flexible installation features, the AK700ST is an excellent choice for dedicated golf bays, home golf simulators, garage setups, and professional simulator environments.

4K UHD Golf Simulator Projection

The BenQ AK700ST delivers 4K UHD resolution of 3840 × 2160, producing detailed visuals across your golf simulator projector screen. With HDR10 and HLG support, the projector is designed to provide enhanced contrast and visual detail across virtual fairways, greens, bunkers, water hazards, and other course environments.

Its dedicated Golf Mode is designed to optimise colour reproduction for golf simulation, helping fairways, rough, sand, water, and surrounding course elements appear natural and visually distinct.

4,000 ANSI Lumens for Bright Simulator Images

With 4,000 ANSI lumens of brightness, the AK700ST is built to produce a bright projected image in a range of golf simulator environments. This makes it particularly suitable for users looking for a high-performance projector for golf simulator installations where consistent image visibility is important.

The projector also offers 95% Rec.709 colour coverage, supporting accurate and vibrant image reproduction.

Short-Throw Design for Golf Simulators

The 0.69–0.83 short-throw ratio makes the BenQ AK700ST a strong option for installations where projector placement needs to remain relatively close to the screen.

A short throw golf simulator projector can help reduce the amount of space required between the projector and impact screen while also helping minimise player shadows and potential swing interference.

The 1.2× optical zoom provides additional installation flexibility, while the 102.5% projection offset supports positioning behind the player in compatible installations.

Flexible Golf Simulator Projector Installation

Building a golf simulator often requires careful projector positioning. The AK700ST includes several features designed to simplify installation, including Auto Screen Fit, Quick Focus, corner correction, and keystone adjustment.

Vertical adjustment is supported up to ±30°, horizontal adjustment up to ±30°, and rotation adjustment up to ±30°. The projector supports 16:9, 16:10, 4:3, and 1:1 aspect ratios, allowing it to work with different golf simulator screens and enclosure configurations.

For installations using a golf simulator projector mount, the projector’s short-throw characteristics can provide greater flexibility when determining the ideal mounting position.

Laser Light Source Built for Long-Term Use

The BenQ AK700ST uses a laser light source rated for up to 20,000 hours, reducing the need for frequent lamp replacement and making it well suited to golf simulator environments that receive regular use.

For golfers building a dedicated simulator room, garage golf simulator, or commercial golf training environment, long-life laser projection can be an important consideration when comparing golf simulator projectors.

Low Input Lag for Responsive Simulation

Golf simulation requires responsive interaction between the computer, projector, and simulator software. The AK700ST offers low input-lag performance, with approximately 8.4 ms at 1080p 240Hz, 16.7 ms at 1080p 120Hz, and 33.4 ms at 4K 60Hz.

This makes the projector suitable for users who want a responsive visual experience while playing simulated rounds, practicing shots, or using compatible golf simulation software.

A Premium Choice for Golf Simulator Builds

When choosing the best projector for a golf simulator, important considerations include resolution, brightness, throw distance, installation space, screen dimensions, aspect ratio, and simulator-room lighting.

The BenQ AK700ST brings these considerations together with 4K UHD resolution, 4,000 ANSI lumens, short-throw projection, laser technology, Golf Mode, HDR support, and flexible positioning features.

Whether you’re upgrading an existing golf simulator projector setup or building a new golf simulator with projector and impact screen, the AK700ST provides a premium projection solution designed around the demands of golf simulation.

FAQs

What is the BenQ AK700ST?

The BenQ AK700ST is a 4K UHD laser projector designed specifically for golf simulator applications. It combines 4K resolution, 4,000 ANSI lumens, short-throw projection, Golf Mode, HDR support, and flexible installation features.

Is the BenQ AK700ST good for a golf simulator?

Yes. Its 4K UHD resolution, 4,000 ANSI lumens, 0.69–0.83 short-throw ratio, Golf Mode, and installation flexibility make it well suited to golf simulator environments.

Is the BenQ AK700ST a short-throw projector?

Yes. The AK700ST has a 0.69–0.83:1 throw ratio, making it a short-throw projector suitable for many golf simulator installations.

Is the BenQ AK700ST 4K?

Yes. The BenQ AK700ST supports 4K UHD resolution at 3840 × 2160.

How bright is the BenQ AK700ST?

The AK700ST has a rated brightness of 4,000 ANSI lumens.

How long does the AK700ST laser last?

The laser light source is rated for up to 20,000 hours, depending on operating conditions and usage.

Can the BenQ AK700ST be ceiling mounted?

Its installation features make it suitable for various mounting configurations. The exact mounting position should be determined according to the projector’s throw distance, screen dimensions, room geometry, and the manufacturer’s installation requirements.

What screen should I use with a golf simulator projector?

The appropriate screen depends on your simulator bay dimensions, projector position, aspect ratio, and desired image size. A compatible golf simulator impact screen should be selected based on the complete projector and simulator configuration rather than projector specifications alone.

Where should I mount a projector for a golf simulator?

Projector placement depends on the screen size, throw ratio, enclosure dimensions, hitting position, and room layout. The AK700ST’s short-throw ratio provides flexibility for installations where the projector needs to be positioned relatively close to the screen.
